Perfect Scrambled Eggs

Fluffy, creamy scrambled eggs are the ultimate breakfast comfort food, and they’re super easy to make! Whether you prefer them soft and tender or a little firmer, this basic scrambled eggs recipe can be adapted to suit your tastes.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs

  • 2 tbsp butter (or olive oil, if preferred)

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)

  • 2 tbsp milk or cream (optional, for extra creaminess)

  • Fresh herbs (like chives or parsley), optional for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Whisk the Eggs:

    • Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and whisk vigorously until the eggs are well beaten and slightly frothy. If you want extra creamy eggs, add the milk or cream and whisk it in.

  2. Heat the Pan:

    • Place a nonstick skillet or frying pan on medium-low heat. Add the butter and let it melt, making sure it coats the bottom of the pan. Be careful not to let the butter brown—it should just melt and become bubbly.

  3. Cook the Eggs:

    • Pour the beaten eggs into the pan. Let them sit for a few seconds without stirring so the edges can set. Then, with a spatula, gently push the eggs from the edges toward the center. Repeat this every few seconds, letting the uncooked eggs flow to the edges. Continue until the eggs form soft curds, about 3-5 minutes depending on your heat.

  4. Finish Cooking:

    • For soft, creamy scrambled eggs, stop cooking when the eggs are still slightly runny and just set. If you prefer them firmer, continue cooking for another minute or so until they reach your desired consistency.

  5. Serve:

    • Remove the eggs from the pan immediately to prevent overcooking. Garnish with fresh herbs, a sprinkle of additional salt, and pepper to taste.

Tips for Perfect Scrambled Eggs:

  • Low and slow: Cooking scrambled eggs on low heat is key to making them soft and creamy. High heat can make them dry and rubbery.

  • Don’t over-stir: Stirring too much can break up the eggs too much and make them less fluffy. Let them cook gently and only stir a few times.

  • Keep them soft: Scrambled eggs continue to cook after they’re off the heat, so if they look just a little underdone, let them sit for a minute—they’ll finish cooking on their own.

Enjoy your scrambled eggs! You can serve them with toast, bacon, fresh avocado, or any toppings you like.

Let me know how they turn out! If you want any flavor add-ins (like cheese or veggies), I can suggest some ideas.
