Baked Apple Fritters

Posted on December 5, 2025 by Admin
Here’s a warm, cinnamon-sweet, bakery-style Baked Apple Fritters recipe — all the flavor, none of the deep-frying. 🍎✨
They’re soft inside, caramelized on the outside, and super easy!

🍎 Baked Apple Fritters

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 fritters)

For the fritters

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • ⅓ cup milk

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups chopped apples (any sweet variety—Honeycrisp, Fuji, Gala)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (to keep apples fresh)

For the glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1–2 tbsp milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the apples

  • Peel and dice apples into small cubes.

  • Toss with lemon juice and set aside.

3. Mix dry ingredients

In a bowl, whisk:

  • Salt

4. Mix wet ingredients

In another bowl, whisk:

  • Eggs

  • Milk

  • Melted butter

  • Vanilla

5. Combine

  • Fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture.

  • Stir in the apples — batter will be thick and chunky.

6. Shape fritters

  • Scoop ¼-cup mounds onto the baking sheet.

  • Gently flatten the tops for even baking.

7. Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and set.

8. Glaze

  • Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla into a smooth glaze.

  • Dip or drizzle over warm fritters.
