Delicious Easy Homemade Baked Potato

Here’s a simple, foolproof way to make a perfect Air Fryer Baked Potato — crispy skin on the outside, fluffy inside, in a fraction of the time it takes in the oven.


⭐ Air Fryer Baked Potato

Ingredients

  • 1–4 medium russet potatoes
  • 1–2 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, bacon bits

Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes

  1. Wash and scrub potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Pat dry.
  3. Pierce each potato 4–5 times with a fork.
  4. Rub olive oil over the skin, then sprinkle with salt.

2. Preheat Air Fryer

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.

3. Cook

  • Place potatoes in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd).
  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 35–45 minutes, depending on size.
  • Flip potatoes halfway through cooking for even crispness.

4. Test for Doneness

  • Insert a fork or skewer — it should slide in easily.
  • If not tender, cook 5–10 minutes longer.

5. Serve

  • Cut a slit in the top and fluff the inside with a fork.
  • Add your favorite toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, or chives.

Tips

  • Extra crispy skin: Rub skin with a little extra oil and salt before cooking.
  • Smaller potatoes will cook faster; larger ones may need extra time.
  • Make twice as many: You can cook 2–4 medium potatoes at once if your air fryer basket fits.
