Posted on December 6, 2025 by Admin
Here’s a Peach Cream Puff Pastry Cake that’s easy, gorgeous, and tastes like a bakery-style dessert with minimal effort! 🍑✨
Think: flaky layers of puff pastry + creamy vanilla filling + juicy peaches.

🍑 Peach Cream Puff Pastry Cake

✨ Ingredients

For the Pastry Layers

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Sugar for sprinkling (optional)

For the Cream Filling

Choose one:

A. Easy Whipped Cream Filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp softened cream cheese (optional — stabilizes)

B. Pastry Cream Filling (more traditional)

  • 2 cups milk

  • 4 egg yolks

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ¼ cup cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla

For the Peach Layer

  • 2–3 fresh peaches, thinly sliced
or 1 can sliced peaches, well-drained
Optional glaze: 2 tbsp peach jam warmed with 1 tsp water

🍰 ✨ Instructions

1. Bake the Puff Pastry

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Place thawed pastry sheets on a baking tray.

  3. Prick all over with a fork to prevent excess puffing.

  4. Brush lightly with beaten egg.

  5. Sprinkle with sugar if you want a caramelized top.

  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.

  7. Let cool completely.

  8. Trim edges so both sheets are even.

2. Make the Filling

A. Whipped Cream Filling

  1. Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.

  2. Beat softened cream cheese separately.

  3. Fold cream cheese into whipped cream for stability.

B. Pastry Cream

  1. Heat milk until steaming.

  2. Whisk yolks, sugar, and cornstarch.

  3. Slowly whisk hot milk into yolks, then return to pot.

  4. Cook over medium until thick.

  5. Stir in butter + vanilla, cool completely.

3. Assemble the Cake

  1. Place one puff pastry sheet on a platter.

  2. Spread a thick layer of cream filling.

  3. Add a layer of peach slices.

  4. Place the second pastry sheet on top.

  5. Optional: Brush the peaches with warm peach jam for shine.

4. Chill

Refrigerate for 1–2 hours so it slices cleanly and the layers settle.

🌟 Serving

Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with peach syrup, or add extra whipped cream.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Add a layer of peach jam under the cream for extra flavor.

  • Replace peaches with berries, mango, or apricots.

  • Use store-bought custard for a super-fast version.

  • For crispier layers, bake pastry for an extra 2–3 minutes.
