Here’s a simple and flavorful Slow Cooker Pepper Steak recipe — tender beef with peppers and a savory sauce, perfect for a hands-off meal.


🥩 Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1.5 lbs (700 g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced

  • 1 large onion, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup beef broth

  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 1 tsp black pepper (freshly cracked for best flavor)

  • 1/2 tsp salt (optional, adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)

  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving


Instructions

1. Prep the Beef

  • Optional: Sear the beef slices in a hot skillet with olive oil for 1–2 minutes per side for extra flavor.

  • Place beef in the slow cooker.


2. Add Vegetables

  • Add sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic on top of the beef.


3. Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt.

  • Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables in the slow cooker.


4. Cook

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until beef is tender.


5. Thicken the Sauce

  1. About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry.

  2. Stir into the slow cooker and cook on HIGH until the sauce thickens.


6. Serve

  • Serve the pepper steak over rice or noodles.

  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or sesame seeds.
