yummy salad

Posted on December 5, 2025 by Admin
Here’s a fresh, vibrant, and easy-to-make salad that’s both yummy and versatile:

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 4 cups mixed greens (spinach, arugula, romaine, or your favorite mix)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cucumber, sliced

  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)

  • 1/4 cup toasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)

  • 1/2 avocado, sliced

  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: a sprinkle of fresh herbs like basil or parsley

Instructions

  1. Prep the Veggies:
Wash and dry your greens and vegetables. Slice cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and red onion.

  2. Assemble Salad:
In a large bowl, combine greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, avocado, and nuts.

  3. Add Cheese:
Sprinkle feta cheese on top (or skip if you prefer a vegan option).

  4. Dress & Toss:
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice) over the salad.
Season with salt and pepper. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated.

  5. Serve Immediately:
Garnish with fresh herbs for extra flavor. Enjoy!

💡 Tips:

  • Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or boiled eggs for a protein boost.

  • Swap balsamic vinegar for a honey-mustard or citrus dressing for a sweeter twist.

  • Crunch factor: roasted chickpeas or seeds are amazing additions.

If you want, I can give you a super “gourmet-style” salad recipe that looks fancy but takes less than 10 minutes to make. Do you want me to do that?
